Kate was married in Disney World. She wanted to share her happiness with family and friends at a local reception a few months later. They love Jimmy Buffet and asked for a Margaritaville theme. No easy task, since I am not that familiar with this genre. Thanks to the internet and a few suggestions from friends, I think I managed to pull it off.
Transportation posed some problems and we had some cracking in the fondant on the lowest tier. I was also a little disappointed with the height of the tiki hut. Next time, it will be about 2″ shorter. Other than that, it worked out nicely and the bride couldn’t have been happier.
As the bride, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect cake. Probably why I call you for ideas for everything from paint colors in my house to centerpieces at my wedding!
